anyone ever had to replace their ignition?
Are you talking about your ignition switch ? If so, then all you need to do is remove the lower piece that covers the tumbler up and you will see the switch, its white and has wires running from it. Here is a pic, the right side pic is the switch.
Another tip.. Don't have a lot of keys and junk on the keyring.. Keeping the weight to a min keeps the switch from wearing out /developing problems from the weight jerking around while driving.
i replaced my entire lockset when i bought my car since the guy i bought it from was pretty shady. i just took a cuttof wheel and cut the bracke off that mounted the entire ignition switch...the new lock set comes with the switch and harness as an entire replacement assembly. the mounting bracket as well.
