blacking out headlights?

Default blacking out headlights?

will blacking out my headlights reduce the amount of light my headlights will be able to project onto the road? anyone have experience with diy blackout headlights?

I did mine and it may be just me but it does seem as my headlights are not as bright **shrugs** I could be wrong though.

Maybe you painted the wrong part.. you're only "supposed" to paint the "housing" not the actual.. dome part black..
unless you go ctr style and tint it not actually use an opaque paint.

I think he means tinting the actual headlight (lense) not painting the housing.

If you tint your headlights you may want to invest in some foglights, u will lose some light.

Why don't you just get some GTS headlight covers. That way it's not permanent.

I agree. Though if you spray them you should be able to get the paint off with paint thinner or some **** if you dont like it or change your mind.

Blackouts were the big hit in like 97 , I had some on my g2 when i was 16. Needless to say I took them off after 1 week. Visibility sucked and the looked ghey

sorry guys i meant painting the housing black...not blacking out the outer headlight...mah bad for the misunderstanding but luckily someone answered the question

just dont paint the "dome" area where the bulb is and you'll be fine.
