Default I have a question/problem....about my o2 censors.

Well I have this problem with my check light going off when I installed my skunk2 stage 1 cams. The code thats been coming up is the o2 censor... A friend of mine told me to clean both of my o2 censors with carb cleaner and then the check engine light should stop...does anyone know if this is true or had this happened to them? any feedback will help thanxs

If you are throwing code 1 just replace O2 sensors, it will be better in the long run

reason i ask is because if it is a code 41 then it is a curcuit fault, he could have sliced a wire.

you can use just plain gas and an old tooth brush to clean it

yes when and if you do replace ur O2 sensor, get a good one i didn't want to spend the money (300) for an OEM one from kragen so i got one for 75. guess what its **** and doesn't work, i got another one(didn't pay for it though my friend works at kragen and he hooked it up) because of the CEL still being on. Yep again that one kept on throwing a CEL too. I was going to purhcase a denso one but they are on back order from Denso, so i went with a Warrner i think (o2sensor.com said they are both the same). the warrner one was like 125 i think. If this one continues to give me a bad O2 sensor reading im gona be soooo pissed, cause that means that not only will i have to wait on geting my car BAR'd but i will also have spent over 300 dollars on O2's and alot of wasted time. So ill be the gini pig and see if the warrner one is good. if it is then good if not then buy the OEM one
