Default Quicker steering for EJ???

How can I get it so I turn the steering wheel less revolutions to go from full right to full left...or even center to full turn for that matter? I know since our civics aren't true sports cars...they lack what I wanna call sport steering. Do I have to change the whole rack and pinion? Any one else want something like this? I'm kinda tired of havin to turn my steering wheel like I'm driving a big *** truck or something. I guess I was spoiled with my stealth.

Um power steering? It wont shorten the turns but it will get you there faster...

I put a 94 integra rack and pinion in my 92cx with the loop/vent system from H-T member padawan. It is very responsive, somewhere around 2.5-3 turns lock to lock i think. But it also made my steering a little more difficult. Oh well, it builds muscle.

what id really like to know is if any of these new electric power steering units could be made to work on our cars. Like the ones in the nsx and I think the new chevy malibu.

Took it off to free up some power. For some reason my steering is harder than hell to turn. I tried putting softer tires and it was still hella hard to turn. All my friends have integs with no PS, and I can turn their wheels with ease...so I know it's not me being weak. I've had the PS off for about 2 months now, so I should have gottin used to it by now. This is part of why I want quicker steering...so I don't have to work forever turning.

An electric PS pump would be pimp...would go nicely with an electric water pump.

ITR rack would be the most common thing to do.

There was someone on here from a major company (might've been Quaife?) that was going to develop a kit to reduce lock-to-lock for Civics to something like 2 turns lock-to-lock ... around that number. It fell through, though. I've always wanted to reduce the lock-to-lock, also.

Softer tires=more grip=bigger pain in the *** to turn=Pop-Eye The Sailor Man (toot-toot!)
