winter problem

hey i was at work from 8:30 am - 11:30 pm tonite..and it was like at freezing temperature all day..came out to my car and its all frosted over...opened my door with no problem, then when i tried to shut the door, it goes in all the way; just that it won't lock on, the door shuts completely but won't stay shut. what is the problem and what can i do to fix it?

the door lock trigger at the door jam got frozed!!

Yup. You really got slam the door to get it to shut.
