Almost made up my mind on suspension...few questions...
I've decided to either go with GC or skunk2 coilovers for my 99 si so that i can adjust gap between my 15's and 17's. Now am I gonna need shocks because ill be bouncing so much? And if so, are the KYB GR-2s the best shocks for the price? And between the GC and S2's which would be a more comfortable ride? Im basically aiming for look and comfort, I'm not planning to use them performance wise too much
Well I would definately get some struts if youre going to go w/ a coilover setup. You could probably get away w/ the stock struts for a little while until you save up the cash.

save your money and go w/ some kyb agx shocks, im telling you from experience!! the gr-2 are nothing but factory replacments, not valved for a stiff spring rate, avoid them!!
On my old 240 the agxs were the only struts that never blew w/ my 3inch drop! I blew factory shocks, the gr-2 and the tokico blues!
the ground controls will be more comfortable ride. i personnally have the skunk2's on my EK, they are stiffer and i like it that way, but to each his own

If you're going to save up get yourself some TEINs. That way you can adjust the damp and height and they are rebuildable. Do it right the 1st time.

well im not gonna lower it 3 inches, only like 1.5-1.9...still the agx's?

im about to just say **** it and go with some tein stechs which only cost like 120 over the ground controls for 250 and use the extra money for some agx's
would the stechs be better quality and ride over the gc's?

GC's are usually softer and you can get custom spring rates. if you want performance get the kyb agx or koni yellow. i know koni;s are alot but then you never have to worry about them blowing. i have nuespeed race springs on yellows i love them. perfect drop for me. i can just barely get in the driveway. good luck on your choice.
I have a Tein Flex setup for my EK and I'd have to say that the quality is awesome. So tunable and definitely a good looking (adjustable) drop. The handling is far superior to the GC setup I had before.
