Okay well I've decided to go all motor on my GSR my current setup is 3' intake 4-1 header and 2.5 " exh w/ test pipe. I plan on getting jdm itr pistons snk2 valves and stage 1 or 2 cams , havent decided. VAFC and obd 1 chipped ECU.
My question was tho, do I need any other modification to into install these pistons other than ARP rod bolts? Also how much would a local shop charge to install them? Im just looking for an estimate.
Thanks much,
Chase

no other modification is needed.
in NY a shop charged me 700 bucks to have pistons installed.
they removed the head and oil pan, honed the cylinder walls,
intalled the rings onto the pistons and the pistons/wrist pins onto the rods,
installed everything back up.

I would reccomend getting the oversized ITRs and having the block bore/honed. I did the same thing to my GSR bottom end and I dont regret it! Good luck!

What would be the benifit? (not tryin to be an ***, just curious what you'd say). The only thing i see would be a smidgen larger displacement, and theoretically weaker cylinder walls. You're already gonna have the cyclinders honed, so either way the cylinder walls are gonna be clean and smooth.

I would say save money and get p30 pistons instead of the JDM ITR. Also, get the .25 oversized, esp. if your car has high mileage. If the car is NA, i don't see how taking off .25m the walls is gonna affect much.

Getteh base Hondata s200, its probably going to come out cheaper than chipped p28 w/ VAFC.
what header are you running?
Don't forget to clay the motor if you are going to run oversized valves w/ stage 2s/
