Changing pistons...
How many people here have changed pistons without touching the cylinders (i.e. direct replacement, no boring, surface honing)? Realistically, is it that bad of an idea on a low milage engine (62,000miles)? Thanks
i did it on my engine with about 65-70k.......using standard bore ITR pistion and new rings. i simply used a glaze breaker to lightly "clean up" the cylinder walls a little. most people will say it's not the best way to do it but it worked out ok for me.........

why not throw in some b16 pistons with a gs-r head
it'll bump the compression up to about 11:5:1 and will
be a little cheaper than jdm type r pistons
