I would not think that 3 degrees of timing would make your car die, but to go from 15 to 18 u will need to move the distributor towards the firewall. please use a timing light!

It is true I am afraid. U say your timing is at 15, if this were true your car would run at least. Then u tell us are not using a timing light, so what are you doing, Quessing?? I would not drive the car much unitl you can get a light or let someone with some experience look at your car. It is probaly no where near 15 if your car will not idle.

My timing was set at 10, ran perfectly fine. Granted it was slower than an LS with an intake...

Get a timing gun, THE ONLY WAY you are going to set it right.

Yup, my timing is set at 11 (I found out the hard way, almost didn't pass smog, the smog guy hooked it up on my mechanic though) and still is. I gotta dig up my timing light in the garage, I just haven't found the time to do so. Anybody wanna help me adjust my timing?

Dont be stupid, get a timing light... they arent hating on you, but helping the knowledge-less ITR owner here... people with such limited knowledge shouldnt mod/change/mess with(!) a nice and rare car like this.... Everyone look for the "Another Dead ITR" post... cause of death- owner stupidity

(how's that for hating?)
