DAMN shift linkage! Please need help ASAP!

Default DAMN shift linkage! Please need help ASAP!

Well i think we got the shifter on right... we are swaping a b16a2 into my 93 civic and we cant seem to get the shifter right the shifter angles forward and has too much play. does go in to the gears okay... please help me! thanks

It should sit a litte forward on the civics...but it should not really have and play..Check your stabilizer bar on your linkage..or check your rear motor mount...PM me if anything...also..Does it just have play when you shift gears?...Or just sitting still?

excessive play could be from not using the push pin where the linkage meets the tranny (using a bolt/nut instead that isnt the right size if you lost the pin) or you need washers where the shifter bolts into the linkage. get under the car and have someone shift it while you look to see where the play is coming from...
