You can do it. Works out pretty well acutally. Im not sure of the whole process but have about 4 friends with the lights behind their vents. good luck

I know you might need the pills for rpm

Just use the blue wire off your cluster. That's the one to the tach!

It's really easy, depending on which shift light you have that is.

In case you haven't bought one yet... I have a Razo dual shift light, it has two lights (one green and one red) that can be configured to come on at any RPM you want.

I really like it, and it was a lot cheaper than the autometer, plus you don't have to deal with any pills!

I am going to sell my monster tach with shiftlight and go with the stewart warner shiftlight, has a digital readout of RPM's inside the shiftlight which is really cool just the size of a shift light and you can set it up to 11k i think.

Hell yeah, spin it till it pops

But to answer the question, the easiest way is to just get an MSD box with a pin light.

i hooked up a shift light to my EK without a tach. its really not hard. Later i took it out becaues it got old. not too mention it got me pulled oer by a cop because he saw the red light flash and get his attention. totaly up to you. but either way it can be done and its not hard to install.

Trav.

I never thought about in the vent. I like that. Might do that to mine since I have an extra Autometer light that I have never used. In my truck I had an Autometer monster tach with the shift light and another one next to it for oil pressure.

you can get all the part you need from summit racing. by parts I mean the autometer shift light and rpm pills. then hook-up is a breeze! three wires. do you wanna guess what they are or should I tell you? oh allright, tach input, power and ground
