Are you saying you want to format your computer?

If you're running WinME, I believe just make a bootdisk and pop it in. Your computer will boot off that disk, and you have the option to format.

Some sites aren't loading that used to load up. that's the same problem I'm having right now. I was viewing http://www.wa.gov yesterday to check up on a law. And 10 minutes later the site is down. I sent to link to a friend and he said it's still up. Might be an ISP problem

boot to dos
delete C:/windows
reload the operating system without reformatting the disk.

i've done this a bunch of times with win98. you don't loose any data except what was in c:/windows. you may have to reinstall a few programs because the registry entry is gone, but other than that it's pretty painless

First go out and buy Windows 2000 or Windows XP, then set your BIOS to boot from CD, then put in your new Windows CD and let it reformat your hard drive and install the new OS.

format c: [enter]
yes boom done

or you can just start installing XP off the cd and when it asks you what partition you want it on, have it delete the old, and create and format a new one.

Do you have virus software? Norton or something is MUST! Before you format your hard drive get some anti virus software. Also for your cookies, you can get rid of all of your cookies and spyware crap by using this nifty program from sweden, Ad-aware 6.0.
