the other d16 guys are saying the edelbrock is good. i have the skunk2 but i haven't boosted on it yet. and then there's always race style sheet metal units like the Golden Eagle one, but those are like $500+

And don't work well with Hondata because I don't believe they can use all the stock sensors.
I know the Venom one doesn't use the IACV.

I actually heard that the skunk 2 is crap... And that all they did was cut the b-flange off and put a d-flange on it... without re-engineering it. It could all be heresay... but personally, for the price, it's not worth it (to me at least). A few more lbs of boost could overcome any IM shortcoming... Get a y8 IM and you'll be happy. It's the d-series 'type-r'~!
good luck!

you heard wrong then... the d16 skunk2 im is definitely different than the b-series. the plenum is smaller in comparison. the runners aren't as large. u can definitely tell the diff between the b and d series im's. and when I compared my stock y8 manifold to my skunk2.. i saw the difference... bigger, longer runners. i'm still waiting to see someone with comparison dyno sheets (stock vs skunk2, skunk2 vs edelbrock)

longer runners = torque and more N/A kinda deal
larger plentum = better for boost
shorter runner = less torque, but more HP top top
EG is about the only one I'd rather have then the Y8, I won't trust any of the other companies as far I could throw them ( you get the ideal ).

yah i know that. like i said ill see how this makes power on the dyno when i'm back on boost.

depends on what car. i think it was the ef's with y8's that ti sucked to fit it on. only trouble i had was swapping out throttlebodies... it was like really tight by a bracked on the fire wall. no biggie though... just used a screw driver to pry some space loose

looking back now i'm not sure what manifold that is on the left lol i know it's not my y8 though. i think it's a z6 the guy who built the motor had laying around hehe
does the stock TB fit on the Skunk 2 ... IMO it look a lot better than the stock in term of effiency...
I have a Z6 so is it really hard to fit and does all the sensors can be fit on the new IM... ?

NO, this is the EG's too. If fits like **** plain and simple. Whole reason I sold mine. You have to move the fuel filter. I would have to move my vacuum box, so I said F it. I sold it and am waiting for the Edelbrock. It puts the IACV on the bottom of the manifold so no worries about clearance. It is also angled so no moving the fuel filter.
There is another H-T member coming out with his own D series performance manifold that I will be trying out once complete. I will have a complete writeup and everything once it is installed. Won't be until the summer though.

I made this for myself, and Im never going to use it...$100? I dont think any sensors will fit, but I can make the IACV, and IAT sensors fit for a few more $..this is a personal manifold, not a business manifold, just to clear up any confusion that may result(LOVEFABs MAKING IM's NOW! YAY! (not!) ). So ya, hit me up if interested...

dont even ask me for performance #s, this was a one-off to try and rid the stock manifolds poor design(Im not sure if this is any better), but from the looks of things, itll do aight.

on the skunk2 the stock tb fits (had that on there for a day or two). and all the sensors fit.
i guess i'm the only one who it fit fine for. hehe then again it went on my motor while it was out of the car.
