B16a cable trans and other gears
Ok i gotta B-16 cable trans ..and im wondering if i can use 99 civic Si internals on this tranny Since i cannot locate the synchros for this tranny i need to get a resolution fast...i have a 99si tranny with a cracked casing ...im wondering if i can use that gear set
The cable B16 trans are small spline. To the best of my knowledge it won't work. You cab get replacement synchros for the trans though. I replaced mine with USDM ones. I should have the part # within a day or two.

going strictly from what ive heard(i have no factual evidence) on the older smaller spline bseries transmissions, some parts from the 92-up dseries tranny's are interchangable. i will look into this more but i thought id give you a heads up and you could research the possibility also!
okay i found a link... http://courtneyeg9.streetracin....html

imma have to try and see if i can use all 99si internals </TD></TR></TABLE>
you're just gonna waste your time, they do not work. the synchros on the 00 vtec tranny are much bigger that the jdm ones, they just won't work take my word for it!

Agreed...the input shaft on the older trans is smaller than the 92+ shafts.
