I have one in the rear axle of my jeep. It makes noise when I go around corners. I would think it would make steering a bitch if it was in the front axle.

I used to run one in my hatch. Didn't mind it too bad, just squeeled going around turns because the wheels are turning at the same speed when they don't want to be.

turning is hard at times hell i can't even make a u-turn any more going around the block doesn't bother me though
you also better learn to change axles because i am going on my forth passenger side axle. its all right i have a lifetime warrenty

I had a welded diff which was basically the same thing. The only time it really sucks is your turning from a stop. Coming out of a driveway sucks.

Why is it really hard when turning from a stop? What does the car want to do?

it wants to go streight.
remember with an open diff, or an lsd the wheels are not always locked. they can spin at different speeds when going around corners unlike a spool or a welded diff.

one wheel has to break loose to spin at the different speed required. lots of poping, chirping, and jerking. tons of fun....i will run a welded dif again in the future.

just use the momentum you have built.
you just have to learn how to drive with one and its not bad at all.
like i said, i will have a welded diff in my next car, just like my last.......its cheaper than a spool

i dont know.
un fortunatly i dont have to worrie about that any time soon.
my next car is going to be all motor
i just cant afford another turbo set-up any time soon, and a turbo car as a daily driver in vegas heat just isnt practicle.
when i have more money coming in......then i will get there

i dont know for you though, maybe look into it.
when my friend did mine it was pretty solid.
he said he has never seen one break.

I do, and it frankly sucks. Sometimes you will find yourself doing K-turns in traffic because you cant make a hard right turn. It is, however, very effective at the track, and to me, thats all that matters.

where have you guys found a good(best) price on these. I've heard of the prodrive and tci but not much of the others. Going in a cable tranny for my somewhat street car. worth a try for now, then i'll dish out for the quaffe in a hydro tranny.

Im pretty sure it means he cant make the turn so he has to reverse, then go again.
