posting for a friend.

he has a single cam turbo eg and yesterday let a friend drive it and his friend launched it and ever since then it starts shaking when hes around 60 mph and shakes worse the harder you hit the gas...but when he lets off and goes into neutral the car stops shaking as much and then as slowing down near the front right wheel you can hear a clicking noise that slows itself as the car gets slower...the axles look fine. the cv boots arent even torn. but do you think the axle is breaking???

he already changed his 2 front wheels to see if maybe the wheels werent balanced because that usually causes car shaking at higher speeds but it makes a clicking noise when slowing down.

any thoughts?

sounds to me like his CV axle is gonna snap

replace the axle...it shakes b/c its out of balanced it clicks b/c its going to break sooner or later or it might not even break but just make noises

The axles sound like the prob. Not a hard fix, try it & c what happens..
