Default V-AFC correction amount...

In reading about tuning the V-AFC, I hear most people speak of setting it at +2 or so as a max for WOT, now I've noticed that the only way to get my Civic running near rich is by turning it up alot more than that. I've got it at about +4 or 5 at 6-7k and it's still only running about mid stoich, but i'm worried that I may be pushing it too hard. At the moment I'm usuing an H22 fuel pump and 10:1 FMU. Now I was thinking, alot of people that use the V-AFC probably already had a H.O. fuel pump which is why they don't need to turn up their fuel so much, but I wanted to run this through you guys and see what you think. Just wanna make sure this makes sense and that i'm not pushing my current setup too far. Seems like I was definatley running to lean though cause since turning up the fuel from +2 to +4 I could feel much smoother pull to the redline, whereas before it felt kinda like it died at about 6k rpm. Another thing, I'm really contemplating getting an EGT already cause this Autometer A/F gauge seems to have a mind of it's own. I don't know if it's the V-AFC interfering with it, but I've checked the A/F gauge's wiring everywhere and all looks well, yet it acts weird from time to time lighting up in very funny sequences, so how much do good EGT's go for and what's a good spot on the manifold to install the probe? I was thinking right where the 4 runners join, but I remember seeing a pic of one installed on a particular runner instead, any thoughts? Thanks..
