Default Parada's, I need to know what is a Great Road Race Tire

What is the best road race tire, First time out i used Nitto 450's and it was some major BS. spun em for days, slid em for days, everything was for days! Now i just ordered some 15in Rota slipstreams ( A TRUE SPOON BITE BUT FOR TRACK DAYS ONLY ITS OK i think ) I was thinking Parada's but still not sure. what is everyone using and why?

Parada's are strictly for street driving and for car shows. If you think Paradas are one of the more agressive offering in the yokohama line, you'd be mistaken. They have pretty good grip but definately NOT a road racing tire. Try Advan A032 or Falken Azenis.

What is the best road race tire?
Hoosiers, at least in the their DOT approved compounds. I'm not too sure if that's what you're really looking for though. If you don't have an unlimited budget and still want something to last longer than 2000 miles, and may want to street drive them a little, Toyo RA1 or Kumho V700 are other good DOT compounds.

If a very HIGH performance street tire is what you're looking for, Falken Azenis is one of the best for dry performance. the Yoko A032R is a good race/street compound as well. Even though they're sold as a competition tire, I don't really consider them a race tire because they're not up to par with the other competition tires.

I'll go for Advan's tires. A032RS warm up easier, it's DOT approved and it grips very well. It grips pretty good in wet also when it's new. Also A038, A048 are pretty good choice but beware of the traction of these days under cold tire temp. U need to warm 'em up a bit. Another advantage is they're quieter compare with 032.

But they're definately not the grippiest. Depends what your needs are. The A032RS, 038 and 048 are also not easily available in North America.

Paradas are for custom pickups and SUVs - in other words, they blow.
