look up local vehicle codes... i know in california the local code states that the exhaust can not go over 95db.. best bet is figure out what the local codes are and find a place that will do a certified test.. not sure where to go. maybe smog ref or something...

It's not correctable, meaning you can't have a cop sign it off if he/she thinks it's quiet enough. The bail should be around 100 bucks.

I got one too...There is no way to correct it. I ended up paying $110 for it. Not too bad, but still fucked up seeing how mustangs and harleys get away with it all day long.

The bail is going to be $94(thats how much mine was).
What I suggest you to do, is to call your nearest state referee, some have db readers.
That way it looks legit and will have paper work coming from a state ref.
If you couldnt find anyone, go to radioshack and purchase a DB reader.
Make "sure" you are not over 95db or near it, if you arent, take your car and the reader to court and have fun with the judge.
One last thing, dont take that attitude in the courthouse.

I was on my way home to have a great feast and the ******* pig ruin my day!! What really was retarded was ticketing me for a small damn object hangin at my rear view mirror. If he was a nice guy he could just tell me to remove it and he won't give me a citation for that crap. He was just bein a plain *******!!!

1)No, not anymore, due to people getting tickets getting them fixed paying only$10 then, going back to the samething. So by giving you a fee , you really dont want to get a ticket again. Specially if it doubles the second time you are caught.
2)Its your lie, not mine
3)Yea, he could of, but then again you were still breaking the law. If he wouldnt have giving you a ticket, he would of being breaking the law.

Assuming you're in SD by your profile, there's been a zero tolerance policy for a while now, they will fine you for anything they possibly can.

Not true. A cop MAY, at his/her discretion, cite someone for an infraction or a misdemenor. A cop SHALL site someone for a felony.

50 state legal exhausts have nothing to do with the amount of noise they make , that has to do with emissions,

as far as the monkey(bones) thingy, that you will not win. since you can not have anything hanging from your mirror. and the exhauset noise, the only way to beat that part is to take it to a smog shop that has a decimal reader and test it there and make sure you get a print out and have the shop sign and put his state id number... that is the only way to do it.. since the officer is using his discretion on the amount of noise he will not be able to tell the difference betwenn decimal readings and you should win... but it also depends on the judge and whether or not he/she will accept this printout..

Well they better start ticketing every disabled person on the road for driving with there "handicapped" parking tag from there rear view mirror. Sounds screwed up but they are just as guilty.

He was pulled over for his exhaust, not his rear view mirror accessory. The officer just tacked that on once he had him pulled over.

should've asked the cop if he had a decibel meter so you can check if it was in face over the limit. You can fight this in traffic court. follow this link and print it as it will help you in court. http://www.sema.org/content/?I...ckets
