well last night my car was stolen out of my GATED COMMUNITY that is never closed and another kicker is that the 24 hour surveilaNCE cops werent in last night. the car was found in an abandoned private land area not too long after it was stolen without my passenger side wheels, my tach, boost, water temp gauges, oil pressure (mech) and my stereo. half of my cd's were stolen and all the other various parts were strewn around as if they were gone getting another vehicle to load it all up into.
good news though, i am done with hondas because this sort of stuff is happening all the time and it really has me pissed and very upset because of all the hours i put into the ar itself.
they didnt take the full greddy turbo kit or my type r headlights and (weird) i will be taking off everything that i can assuming they will total the car out and i can get everything off
tein type s springs, upper front and rear lower tie bars, type r front grill, type r headlights, full greddy kit with intercooler, whatever you may want i will try and take off if they do total it out which i hope they do because i dont want it back.
it is a 98 dx hatch in black and i will keep all of you posted with info as i get it en to me. but for now if anyone hears of any one in the orlando area trying 2 mr7s in gunmetal a whole host of gauges a valentine 1 radar detector and a hundred bucks cash
, i would appreciate it greatly.
another good thing that comes out of this is that you an see where the oil pressure gauge was ripped out of the pillar shooting oil all over whoevewas sitting in the seat. they drove 45 miles and they got sprayed with scalding hot oil.
this makes me smile but i am still unhappy about the whole situation.

do you think that i can go after my neighborhood for anything since they do advertise as a gated community, even though the gates havent been closed yet this year?? the police said that i should be able to go after them for a least a little bit of the costs.

cops are as worthless as **** on a bull. why dont you think they stole the guage when they drove it to where it is??? but i dont think its worth quiting over.....just rape the insurance company, and your rent-a-cop friends, and come back better than before. you seriously are in a good situation......you can make out like a bandit!!!! seriously think about it......

Sorry to hear that.. Your community will not give in on this, I had this happen to my roommate in orlando. They state that the gate is not there to prevent theft only detour it, blah blah blah.... Man that sucks.. Good thing they did not get the turbo..

gated communitites are just give you a fake feeling of security. Every time my car was broken into was a gated community.
Spend 10 minutes outside one and you can follow someone in.
One suggestion would be wire up a switch or two (or in my case three or four) to fuel pump, main ecu fuse, starter or other that will make the car unable to start if they break in.

i was actually in the process of picking up a fuel cut off switch that i would have had somewhere on the car that way they wouldnt have been able to start it but now thats useless.
thanks for all the comments, i apreciate them a lot.
i do have pics but they are on a disk and i cannot (dont know how) to load them up.

When they want your car, there is nothing you could do. I know how it feels.

If your community is gated and has a 24 hour survaliance you probably can get the loss since it was the wheels, gauges, and stereo. That should allow you to go to small claims court which you can represent yourself. as long as you present yourself in a civil manner the judge will most likely rule in your favor for atleast part of the amount because the security company wasnt doing their advertised job. court fee would probably be tolerable...i would call the court and find out those fees. The company might just settle...no court fees, no day and court, and you get a few hundred bucks....thats just my thoughts on it.
So sorry to hear about your car. You spend/invest your time/money and it takes just a few minutes for those theives to take it all away. Not fair.
