Default Reving problem

I have a del sol with a B18c1 and a jackson racing supercharger running 6 psi. I have been running fine for about 6 months but my car just started having problems. When I race or just accelerate very quickly it hesitates around 5500 rpm and the RPMs flutter...its like it goes from like 5500 to 5000 then rises to 6000 drops to 5500, goes to 6500 drops to 6000. the strange thing is that it does not do this every time. it also feels like a huge drop in power when this occurs. I don't know what could be causing this...any one have any ideas?

Thanks
Rob

well, u could be starving ur engine of fuel or u might not have a powerful enough spark. dunno, i have no first hand experience so . . . u should look into fuel/ignition upgrades, even if they arent the culprit.

I have concidered those options but it's strange that this should happen all of the sudden. I have heard of engines detonating when there is not sufficient fuel when running boost, do you know what the definition of detonating is?

also, I have been considering a hondata s200 management system, does anyone have any experience with it and would it be recommended?

detonation is the combustion of a piston that is not at TDC. basically, it disrupts the other pistons that are functioning properly, when a piston just combusts, say, half way to TDC.

Figured it out, it was a bad fuel filter...I like it when it only costs like 25.00 to fix my car !!!
