Default Alpine Type E

i saw a sale at the local audio store
2 12" type E's for 300 canadian, already in a box.
ive heard alot about R's and S's but not much about these.
im looking for a sub that will make it sound nice, not necessarily LOUD but just give a nice thump. will these do the job??

any opinions?

m300 or m500 amp with these?

type E is their worst line, go for a type s in a sealed box for a nice thump that isnt too loud. like a 10 inch or something.

The E can go for 50 bucks each in the states. I would save my money if were you and get a single Type-R in an audiobahn enclosure.

R's are like 350 bucks a piece i think here..for a 12" box doesnt worry me, i can get a friend to make me one for cheap, but still 350 a pop is tough

type E's are a two year old (about) version of the type S's. When alpine went over to tinsel leads in the spider they kept the old machines and created the E.
