Default Intake Backfire

When i put my stock intake back on it started to backfire after i would drive for a little while is this because of a dirty filter or what. And is their anyway i can clean the filter also

backfiring through the intake could be several things. Its not your filter and if its not a cleanable one go to some parts store and get a new one. It could be that and exaust valve is stuck closed or and intake valve is stuck open. take off the valve cover and see if you see anything broken... if so fix it . if its not that you could be running too lean. too rich and you would be backfiring through intake. Id check the valve train before anything else tho good luck.

It could also be your cam, or ignition timing.

9 times out of 10 it will be timing. Also check to see if you are throwing codes.

I was throwing codes 15,17,7 before i took it to tune-up plus and got the fuel system cleaned.

code 7- TPS
code 15- Ignition Output signal
code 17- Vehicle Speed Sensor

swap out distributor and the throttle body and see if it makes a difference, plus as far as your speed sensor, see if you broke the cable, or unpluged it somehow...

Not to mention TPS- make sure you plugged it in and that it is working.
