Falken Tires
Well i just found out my dad gets mad discounts on falken tires because the shop he works for prints all there ****. I was looking at getting the Azenis but not sure. What do you guys think? or is there a better tire by falken. Also what size for my stock 15" rims should i get?
those tires i hear are good autoX tires.........however they look too scarry for me to drive in the rain with...
but they are inexpensive enough to get just for autoX

My friend just put some falken's on his car. I haven't driven his car so I don't know how they compare to other tires out there, but he hasn't complained. And the tread is real agressive looking, I like it. For stock 15's I suggest 205/50 size. As wide as you can go and lower profile than stock. Looks good with a lowered car.
I've heard very good reviews about the Falken Azenis...especially the cost to performance factor. I think it's their best tire in the 15" size.
Anyone know how much they cost in the 205/50-15 size?

Yeah the huge patches of rubber made me wonder about their hydroplaning resistance.....but i guess they are good with those deep grooves, or so someone mentioned....i'd like to hear more about their rain performance. They just look like somthing that would slip and slide in the rain...

The fact that they can be driven in the rain with no worries simply amazes me. They almost look like some slicks...and since grooves in the tire are what help channel the water away, wouldn't the Azenis be more prone to hydroplaning? Are those grooves on the edge of the tire all that's needed to cut through water?
Amazing.
Amazing.
You can read the tread like a book and it still won't tell you anything
take the Parada for instance. I was even surprised by the Azenis's prowess in the rain, a lot better than the stock RE010s I had. Though it was just a passing drizzle, the tires proved to me that it can deal with rain adequately. Perhaps not as well as an all season tire, but definitely a lot better than other similar tires (Yoko 032, Toyo RA1)

Dam...now I'm definitely regretting the purchase of my Kum-HOs. I could've gotten the Azenis for a couple bucks more ($66 a piece at vulcantire.com). Dammit, dammit, dammit...
The rain performance on the Kum-Hos is excellent though.

I tried the Kumhos they are good just becoz they're really budget friendly. Their performance, arrrrrgh nothing to say. Well always have + and - on everything, like someone said.
Falken ZEIX 205/50/15's with 'aquatread' channel, lowered, beautiful 340 tread design... Good rain performance, very good dry performance, confident tire, even under high speed cornering (110mph +) TESTED. --- $80/ tire installed
Vastly improved performance over michelins: Priceless
BTW, BFgoodrich makes a model with same exact tread pattern
