off topic but, i installed a skunk2 mani in my friends car. When i fired up the car and let idle for like 20 minutes it started overheating and smoking. I remembered that i lost some coolant when i removed one/some of the water hoses. Refilled the radiator and all was good. Let us know what you find out!

is it smoking out the tailpipe or engine bay?? re-torque your intake mani. bolts and check your coolant level.

usually black/grey smoke is fuel. did you tune the engine after the im swap? like add too much fuel maybe?

if its the head gasket the compression should drop right? cause all 4 cylinders are at 225

did you make sure all surfaces were clean before installing the new intake mani??? It might be possible that the coolant is being sucked through the intake side becasue they are right next to each other. Thats if there is some sort of gasket leak.

do a leakdown test with the radiator cap off to see if the headgasket is leaking...check to see if coolant is in your oil as well.
