Anybody running a ls motor with b16 type tranny. I was thinking about putting my s1 on a ls i might get... but i was wondering if it was too short for the motor?

 

I'm running a y1 on a B18b...changed y1 5th for the LS 5th. 5th cruises @ 3600rpms at 80mph. Very quick 1-4, nice relaxed 5th(and lsd )

 

Cool, i wouldnt be able to swap out the final drive though.

jealous of your hwy rpm.
I cruise the hwy at a cool 4800-5k (80-85) for about 3.5-4 hrs. to get to school.
I've had a few close calls in getting a LS 5th gearset, but no luck yet.
I'd hate to have to get an additional car if I can't get this tranny mod done by next year.

 

this is a killer setup. it dropped .3 secs of my friends et.

 

Sweet. I dont do all that much highway, i only live an hour from home, and dont go home much, so i think i would be alright. Running a y1 right now anyhow.
