How do you check the ECU for codes on a 95??
underneath the glove box there is a harness called the service connector...it should be blue...pull it down and take a paper clip or some other wire and close the loop (put the wire in one socket and loop it around and put it in the other socket)...now, put the key in the ignition and turn it into the auxilary position...your check engine light should flash whatever code it is that you are throwing...(i.e. either several quick flashes, or one long flash, or a combination)...
the plug is probably hidding behind the radio or one of the panels. I had the same issue, just removed some panels and it was there.

most new hondas i have seen have the same setup...at least newer civics and integras do...
also, if you need, for 96 and up obd2 cars, the obd2 diagnostics connection is behind the ash tray...

On 96 and 97 Accords, the DLC is behind the ashtray. On 98 - 02 Accords it's by the left kick panel.

pull the readio fuse from under the hood, turn the key to the so that the radio comes on. when the check engine light flashes it will do it a certain amount of long flashes and a certain amount of short flashes, count them, that is the code number for your problem
the haynes manual for your car at autozone will tell you the code numbers and meanings
