Default Opinions Megan Racing cat-back?

Does anybody have any input on the Megan Racing 2.5" cat-back exhaust system sold on ebay for $270? I currently have a Magnaflow cat-back on my 92 civic SI hatch w/a B16A2 swap(For Sale). I am considering this new exhaust for my new project,92 civic hatch w/a H22. Reason is the Megan kit has 2.5" tubing,Magnaflow offers only 2.25" tubing! THANKS!!!!

From what I have heard (read: no first hand experience), Megan Racing is a shitty Mugen rip-off. If you just need the tubing, why not just get the tubing custom at an exhaust shop, and use the muffler of your choice? I can assure you the tubing won't be 270 dollars.

The only problem is my shitty little town does not have any shops that can do mandrel bending. Plus I am looking for "bolt in, bolt out flexability".

Yeah my friend got the "megan" catback for his civic.

1. it didnt bolt on
2. he had to buy a pipe to make it fit
3. the money he thought he was saving on buying the exhaust, wasnt, because he ended up spending money on other **** like the extension/ gaskets/ bolts/
4. it sticks out
5. its a knock off peice of **** that will probably end up rusting in the future.

megan?? ..

what civic did he have? if that was the case you guys should call them because they were very helpful to us. and all the guys runnin it on thier eg's like it! yeah mine was a little harder to install but i dint have to make extension pipes. if it sticks out its because your extension pipe is to long...

Also interested in this catback. Anyone else have any information on them? Does it angle out any? Sound clips?

i have friends with SR20 motors in their s13's that use this exhaust

its loud, there is no raspiness on those motors because of the turbo but they definatley sound good.

but loud.

i would NOT put it on a honda.

i love the sound of mine on my GSR. Its not at all raspy or "angry bee" sounding, its not that loud and it keeps a deep pitch all through the RPMs. I think we have so videos of us testing out my boosted gsr with it on there. If anybody is interested in seeing them im me and maybe ill put it up. I was very happy with how perfect the fit was too.

If you need **** from them im also a distributor or theirs.

I do not agree. I have a Megan cat-back exhaust and it sounds great after a year..nice deep sound . NOT a ripoff.. an established and reputable company and growing.

I REALLY need to post some sound clips of my Megan system on my Teg... you really need to KNOW what you are talking about before you speak. . My megan catback also added a nice gain from stock.
SOUNDS GREAT

I just got my MR turbo manifold for my SR motor. If the quality of the exhaust is anything like the manifold, it will last a long time.

Although, I hate the exhaust on the S13, it sticks out waay to ******* far. You'd trip over the tip if your not careful.

I got the full 3" turboback for my car and I absolutely love it...I have no problems with it at all, (fully stainless) and it sounds really good. It has a real deep tone to it. My buddies shop also put one one a eg hatch with a b18c1 and it actually did not sound that bad. It had a deep tone to it and wasn't as bee sounding as some of the other 4 cylinder cars out there.
