Default Bullet Proof H22 bottom end...

I am going to turbo my 98 prelude in the not to distant future... what are the best components for a rock solid bottom end? What brands make great stuff and which brands arent verry reliable?... I want it to be able to handle some major psi so should I sleeve it?...

sleeves, pauter rods, and cp pistons. People will argue about brands and such, but those are the basics to a strong bottom end.

has anyone abused the **** out of their internals to the point where they knew it should break and everything is still fine? What did you have in it? Stuff like that... like testimonials?

There really is no "bulletproof" bottom end. If your tuning is bad its gonna blow one way or the other. Sleeves, forged pistons and rods are basically insurance. If your setup is tuned right your engine will last a very long time.

i dont have the motor finished Im building but we are buying just about the best components:

H22a4 block
Benson Sleeved
CP 87mm Pistons
Full-race Manley Rods
Crank fully balanced and micropolished crank by benson
all new oem bearings
new water pump, oil pump, oem headgasket and all new seals and gaskets
ARP studs

thats should be pretty damn strong if you ask me.

its not a benson crank, its a oem crank balanced and micro polished crank, you provide your crank, they balance and micropolish for you.
