sir/y1 intermediate shaft with s1 tranny
Can you use a Sir intermediate shaft in a s1 transmission?
If so, then i assume you use the axle setup stated on hasport site, composed of 89 axles or w/e.......

Atleast the non LSD ones. I am not sure about them.</TD></TR></TABLE>
INCORRECT, the SIR "Y1" intermediate shaft is different from the S1, J1, YS1, Intermediate shafts.
Look on Hasport's "AXLE Page" and you will see what I mean. The Y1 is a tad LONGER and will cause the Driver's axles to sometimes BIND when you swap a B-series into a U.S. chassis.

What is the name of the shaft that comes with the s1 j1 and ys1? Can you still use a y1 shaft in a s1 tranny? IT realy depends on the axles right?
Can't find the axle info on hasport site, i think they got rid of it?

The "SK7" is the name of the shaft. The Y1 intermediate shaft will still fit in a S1 tranny and bolt to the rear block, but the OFFSET is different. Its a little longer. You need to find shorter driver's side axle to prevent BINDING. Especially if you have the car slammed, its even more hard on that axle.
from TONY- A guy who chuckles when he sees cars that are SLAMMED!! at the track pulling shitty 60ft. times and breaking axles and the owners wonder why??????
CRAZY AXLE ANGLE and so much NEG camber they are trying to get a good launch when most of the weight of the car is on the insides of the tires
Its kinda funny actually when I see this.......
