i bought the si gauge cluster. i went to install it all but one plug is compatable. i have an auto, and as you know the Si was manual. there is one green plug in back of the si cluster that is really small and green its off to the lower right. my plug is 3 times the size, and fits off to the upper left. i know this plug controls the gear selector indicator light, but what other functions does it do. i hooked all but that to the si cluster and everything seems to work, but i may be missing something. leave it unplugged, or re pin it with a salvaged green Si plug.

what year is your car? I saw you avator... you bought a ek cluster for a 1990 and it works? or you bought a ek cluster for a ek...you can leave that unplugged..its only the lights.

I think it is for the light bar were it says P,R,N,D and so and so on..you know what i am saying? see on the right... the new cluster you have does not have that right...

 

Disregard the extra plug... that plug is for you "gear tree"... the thing that tells you what gear you are in.. Its plug and play everything else will work.

 

yes i guess i left something out again mine dx cluster has no tach. on the back of the si cluster there is a very small green plug what is this for?

your new cluster has a tach it work right? if yes then fine and does you gear tree light up at night? if not then thats what that plug was for...no biggie you know what gear your in....
