Somebody had earlier recomended me a rate of I think 8:1, but I can't remember for sure so I wanted to reconfirm. Here's the setup:

98 Civic EX w/ GReddy kit @6psi
BBK 225lph intank pump (not yet installed, have an H22A pump in tank right now)
Prelude 330cc injectors (not yet installed)
Apex'i V-AFC

Those are the only fuel related things I could think of, so what do you think would be a good rate for the FMU? I've got the stock one that comes with the 92-95 GReddy kit (black FMU, not the blue one) which I belive is 12:1. Right now with the Prelude H22 fuel pump and stock injectors, I was having a horrible time boosting anything over 5psi where I'd go way lean, latley since I've installed the AVC-R and V-AFC it's been running better but I want to solidify my setup already, so after the BBK pump and Lude injectors, what do you guys think would be a good rate? 8:1, 10:1 or stock 12:1?

but don't you think running 330cc injectors with 8:1 and an aftermarket fuel pump will be overkill for just 6psi? you're gonna need something to seriously tune that thing especially your idle fuel pressure cause you'll be running really rich @ idle.

i have the greddy kit on my sohc. i only run 270cc and it's plenty of fuel for 6psi. I have a VAFC and gonna put in a B&M fuel pressure modifier w/ T.O.O.s mod to the fuel pressure regulator.

VTC_Civic: You should go 8:1 and then up the boost to 7 or 8 psi at least. The pump you have is serious overkill for only 6 psi. The black Vortech FMu is 10:1 so you will need a recal kit for 8:1. If you buy the recal kit, I will be willing to buy the 10:1 recal off of you. I am presently running the Vortech 12:1 (blue) FMU and it is too rich for my CRX setup at 8psi. I was planning on buying a 10:1 recal kit but if you have the 10:1 disc laying around i would be happy to send a couple bucks your way.

Thanks for the unput guys. Remember that 6psi is merley is starting point. My intention is to run daily at 7-8psi and 10psi for track duties. Power and speed are great, but reliability is my #1 concern while boosting, this is a stock D16Y8 so I wanna keep it within reason. I will look into Vortech's 8:1 disc kit and Randy, once I get it you'l be the first to know so you can have the 10:1 disc

 

You need a high pressure fuel pump, those intank Walbros can't hang.

 

You're kidding? I thought the intank 255lph Walbro/Bosch/Holley/BBK pumps were indeed H.O., I mean hell they are 255lph pumps right! ?

 

What about rc310cc injectors, vortech 10:1 FMU, adjustable FPR (vortech), and a V-AFC. Boosting 7-8 psi (greddy kit) on a 99 civic si with the b16a2. Would this setup be sufficient? BTW, Vortech sells FMU's in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 rates incase you required the complete unit.

With the 310 injectors you should use an 8:1 FMU instead of the 10:1. The 10:1 will be too rich.

Hmm, would an adjustable FPR really be neccesary with an FMU and V-AFC? Seems like it'd be a little redundant but maybe there's something there I don't see.
