RHD ITR
Question, as stated I own a 97 LS with a B20 motor that I absolutly love. I am in the military and am going to be stationed in Yokosuka Japan pretty soon. I have friends there also and they also own the gambit of jdm cars over there. The question is this: My friend over there is telling me to pick up a DC2(dirt cheap) and drive it when I'm there for a couple of years, then when It's time to come back to the good ol' US of A bring it back(don't worry I have rank, and am allowed "X" amount of LBS/Tons to bring back through governement expense") and since I already own a USDM just switch VIN #'s and that should be it. Moral ethics tells me this is wrong but is it entirely possible? If so, what opinions would you incur or suggest? Thanks in advance. p.s. I'm not doing it for the JDM bandwagon, I was JDM before you knew what JDM was, when I lived there the first time: Honda City Turbo II.

Read above.
But........... leads into the quote I posted, which ends with, its the truth.
What I was saying is, I've heard people doing it. (More so in the nissan community), but its not a good idea. I've heard of people robbing banks, climbing the side of buildings, and jumping off of bridges.
Would I do it? Would I recommend it?
Nope.

Why not ship it back and have the RHD registered?
My 2002 Honda Integra Type-R is RHD and already in a shipping container due to arrive in April.
btw, nice way of spending our tax payer dollars
