Well,

I recently changed my oil and filter and took some pics of my old oil filter.

This is the filter I got at my local Honda dealership, it's the standard Honda filter over here in Norway. It's 3" in diameter so I guess it's the new small type.
It's made in France and is labeled Puroflux, part. no is: 15400-PH1-F03.
And they charged me 123 NOK which is about 17$ for 1 filter and a new crush washer for the drain plug Well at least the quality looks good though.

Looks pretty nice but wayy too expensive. How did you take it apart so cleanly?

 

Well Norway IS expensive, everything up here costs a lot, especially cars. When i got my car a year ago it cost 15500 Euro in Germany and I had to pay about the same amount in import taxes to get plates on the car, it ended up costing me 260000NOK, which is about 36500$. That's Norway for you,

As for the oil filter all I used to take it apart was a vice and a hack saw, nothing fancy there

Europe has the luxury of having the nicer oils... 5w40, 5w50, 10w50, etc, etc.

That filter looks pretty sweet

 

I'd die with prices like that.

no you wouldn't...do you know how expensive death is?!?

And yes it's in German because i have a German ITR, imported to Norway a year ago.

 

wow! i guess honda has no qualms against running 10w-40, 15w-40, 20w-40, 15w-50, 20w-50 motor oils in european ITR's.
