Default Shocks for 02 Civic?

What type of shocks would you reccommend for an 02' civic that has subs in the back and 17" rims? The back tires keep on scraping in the fender well... people tell me to get tougher shocks that will absorb the impact... what do you reccomend? What can I do that wont make the car sit any higher?

how do you drive? jus daily drive no fast turns? stay stock i guess. shocks or dampers doesnt absorb the
bumps on the road, its actully the springs that are doing all the absorbing.

so theres absolutely no way to keep the car like it is... no ride height chage... no new wheels with better offset... and be able to stop the scraping?

what's your set-up? is the car lowered already? when i first had my car, i had ground control coilovers with stock shocks and i always hit my fender well. i then bought some KYB AGX adjustable shocks and i don't hit anymore. all i did was stiffen up the shocks. BUT i run 16in slipstreams. don't know about the 17's. you could also take out the plastic inside you fender well, but i wouldn't recommend it.

stock 02 civic setup... its not hitting the fender well.... its hitting the painted part because of the offset making the rims stick out... how do you stiffen up the shocks?

i don't think you can stiffen up stock shocks. my shocks are aftermarket and adjustable. you might have to get another set of rims with a different offset....don't know though
