Nobody can seem to answer this question, but my SRS light is on and my horn doesn't work. I'm going to go to the junkyard and get a cable reel later this week so i would like to get a picture of it so i know what im lookin for...is it the cable thats like a ribbon or what? This should definetly fix my horn problem also...right?

its the black box thing that has two pins coming out of it. it has a spring inside, and you have to be sure that you reset it properly so that you can have a functioning airbag and horn. me, being stupid..i messed with it and had no idea of resetting the reel after i took off my steering wheel..and i myself have a broken cable reel. what you do is spin the reel to one side and spin it the other way counting how many full turns. once you get to the other side, you spin it the other direction half as many times, this ensures that the reel is centered, and that you can turn the steering wheel the maximium times right or left without snapping the reel.

hope this helps..with practice you will be able to reset the reel and reinstall it in no time.
