mini me problem

Default mini me problem

i want to know why at high rpm my d15vtec blows smoke around 5-6rpm??? could it be the headgasket going out? anyone?

rings on your pistons are bad, or you valve seals are bad.....headgasket would mostlikely blow all the time not just at specific spots in rpm band

one of friends had the problem and someone told that his rings were stuck to the piston due to carbon buildup, you could try getting some sort of cleaner of some sort.

isnt black smoke too much fuel which is that your running rich.

doesn't always show up.....could be it is not reading correctly at that rpm....if you still have your one wire o2 then that maybe a cause

i just did a mini me and i was blowing out black smoke. i put a oil catch can between the valve cover and the intake and it doesn't smoke anymore and there is allot of oil in the can. i've only had the can on there for 4 days now. the can i sed is a 3/8 inline glass fuel filter with no filter element inside. it works great so far. and yes, i know it was black smoke and not blue.

yeah mine started to smoke again as well. oh well i'll just deal with it. the z6 bottem goes in soon....weeee!

the piston rings are probably the problem. If it happens at startup its the valve guide seals, but at a certain rpm its the rings.
