Default Piston ring question...

If barely see any exhaust smoke when i get on it with a gutted catalytic converter, and not any other conditions (that myself or friends have been able to monitor), is it safe to rule out that my rings are NOT bad?

is your car giving you problems? what color is the smoke? and have you done a compression or leak down test?
