Default strut tower on 98 DX w/ AEM SRI?

I can pick up a quality strut tower for pretty cheap locally today, but I have an AEM SRI on my 98 DX and was wondering if there might be any fitment issues like the pipe bend at the throttle body hitting the strut tower? anyone have any experience with this>? thanks y'all.

it will likely hit the strut bar at idle... i fixed it by putting a little square of Dr. Scholls foot padding on the bottom side of the strut bar where it hit..

yes, depending on the strut tower it will hit the intake... most straight bars will hit

mine hit...so i took it off, i think the neuspeed ones wont hit cause it shifts the bar forward....

you could get a y8 IM and never have a problem again...

thats what i did

Yeah...the straight aftermarket kind of bars will hit...I got a Si bar and it fits perfectly.

yeah the kind I'd like to get bends up, as opposed to the straight models. If it still hits, I could do what soccacian said

thanks for the feedback everyone.
