how to remove alternator in DA teg w/out removing axle?
like the topic says, anyone know a good semi easy way to do this? in my b18 crx i had, the alternator went out, but the motor was turned forward enough to where i could unbolt the master cylinder from the firewall and angle it out, but in this case since they're stock mounts, the motor sits back much more. any ideas?
Ive done it on mine twice.. huge pain in the ***..
While you dont have to remove the axle.. you do need to remove the lower control arm, and the front radius arm bolts... also unbolt the front torsion bar from the suspension... then you can swing the suspension assembly out of the way enough to allow for the alternator to slip through... if i recall, youll need to remove the lower alternator bracket from the engine block as well...
good luck!

when i did it on my friends car, we pulled the axle and undid the motor mount, lowered that side of the engine, swapped them. No biggy
