OK.. it is quite embarassing for me to have to ask this. I am super mechanically inclined and work on all sorts of cars and build all sorts of engines for a living.

However I have never installed hood pins. I fear that I might drill the hole in the hood somewhere and then it doesnt line up right with where I wanted to put the pins in the chassis.

How did you guys do it? ANy special methods to drilling that CF hood?

I've never installed any, and never plan on it but I would imagine you find the approximate spot you want to mount them on the core support, make sure it is symmetrical. Mount the pins, and slowly and easily set the hood down on them and mark where the holes need to go.
