dont they suck my friend had some the break easy. But i got some different ones that work better but the install is the same
But a unibit from homedepot or tool store.
Then drill in the bottom part. (the part that will go onto the rad. support.
Then close the hood and mark inside of the hood were the pin touch.
Then drill the hole in the hood and keep opening and closing the hood to get the hole right.

Sorry i cant give more info but its a no brainier to me and its late here.

I installed some hood locks a while back and I think I can help you out.
But first you should know that hood locks are much different than hood pins as hood locks are more for security and hood pins are a hood securing part which is to keep your hood from smashing into your windshield encase your hood latch fails or they can be used without a hood latch.

But anyway here's what you have to do.

1.Place the bottom portion of the hood lock in a hole on the radiator support(there's a hole already there on eg civics).

2.Screw the nut on the lower portion of the hood lock in a position where it will fit flush with the underside of the hood.

3.Put a drop or 2 of oil on the top of the bottom part of the hood lock and close the hood.
When you open the hood there should be a round oil circle from the bottom part of the hood lock making contact with the underside of the hood.

4.Cut out a square or circle about 1&1/2" to 2" in diameter(don't do this to the outer portion of the hood, only to the inside part)

5.Put more oil on the top of the bottom part of the hood lock and close the hood.Again there should be a oil circle on the inside of the hood.

6.Drill a pilot hole in the center of the oil circle and then either get a large drill bit to make the hole for the top portion of your hood lock or use a rotary tool as I did.

7.Put in the top portion of your hood lock, tighten the nut, adjust the bottom portion of the hood lock to the right angle and height, tighten the bottom portion of the hood lock and you should be good to go!

Also the hood locks I used have a adjustable head on the bottom part of the hood lock,so that made it easier to get the right angle. You can get it from autozone.

Hope this helps,best wishes.
