Default Need Help with non starting car

Hey guys, newb here. I have a problem and found this site and the members seem pretty knowledgable.
Here is my problem:

I have a 92 Civic DX, Hatch. All Stock. I thought I had the classic Main Relay problem so I went out and bought a new one. Still the car will not start. When I turn the ignition switch to on I don't hear the fuel pump. I did the jumper on the main relay and the fuel pump turns on when the ignition is on. I checked all of the fuses and they seem fine. Does any one have an idea what is going on. Thanks

Sounds like it could be the ignition switch, not to hard to replace.

Thanks for the repsonse. Forgot to add this part:
The car cranks but there is no fuel pump activation.
Could the ignition switch still be causing this?? Is there any way of testing the system without the switch?

Thanks!

The ignition switch controls a whole lot of vital stuff. I dunno if I can say 100% that's your problem, but if you have to change fuel pumps, upgrade to a Walboro 255 lph because it takes appx. one month on this site before you'll want a swap .

I'd say ignition switch.
BTW: how much do those go for now.

Thanks for the kool reception to the forums. I tested the all of the continuity points on the ignition switch and they all are good. I have a feeling it is the ecu. Is there something I can plug the ecu into to test it? If the ecu is bad what others are interchangable?

Sorry for all the questions but I kinda want the car running good before any swaps. Yeah this site is getting me swap itchy. Thanks again. One more question, what's the going rate for a ecu???

I dont think the ECU will just go out on you for no reason. Did you do anything to the car or put anything into the car before this all happened, or did this just happen out of the blue. Make sure you double check all the fuses because once i fried the big ignition switch fuse and didnt catch it even after a couple visual checks.

I checked all of the fuses. Since I had the meter out I checked continuty on all the fuses including underhood ones.

I noticed the passenger side carpet was soaked with water after a big rain and the carpet over the ecu was pretty damp.

The only indication of something was going bad was the common symptoms of a bad main relay but it was starting once in a while. I had a crack on one of the solder points but when I resoldered it the car would not start at all. It would crank but there was no fuel pump 2 second primer or anything. I did the jumper at the main relay connector and the fuel pump would work when the ignition switch was on. I even tried to jump the fuel pump with the main relay connected and the car would not start.

I am stumped .... anyone ??????

It was the ecu. I swapped it and it runs.
