need a 2nd opinion to my diagnosis (fuel pump not priming, main relay or ign. switch?
So I am having problems w/ my Sol starting. It is sort of an erratic issue but I did some diagnosing. Yesterday when I went to start my car to go to work it turned but did not start, i noticed the fuel pump wasn't priming. Coming back from work I decided to diagnose the problem, my fuel pump works fine. I have the problem narrowed down to my main relay or possibly my ignition switch. Here is what i base my diagnosis on:
after trying several times, the pump will prime and the car will start. (leads me to believe its the ignition switch starting to go bad)
car does not start w/ remote start either (remote start bypasses ignition switch leading me to believe it is main relay)
when pump finally kicks in and primes, it works everytime afterwards, until the car sits for a while, then we are back to not priming/starting.
I just wanted to know what your opinions are, if I am missing anything? When the fuel pump primes, the car fires right up so I know its a fuel delivery issue and not a spark/air issue. and since I know the fuel pump works, it has to be an electrical issue, just need to pin point the actual issue
thanks in advance
Carlos

When the car doesn't start, and the fuel pump doesn't prime, are you getting spark?

OK, new info, and this will help the case of a bad relay even more I guess. When I let the car sit for a while (in this case overnight), and I turn the key, the fuel pump does prime, but i have to sit there for about a minute before I hear the relay click and the pump prime, anyone had this problem before?
