EDIT: it is a code 10 sorry...one long blink, not a 1 like i thought it was so please read below for editied info...

Ok, i just changed my plugs and wires on my car (98 GS with JDM B18C...with JDM ECU from what i'm told...how can i tell if it is off topic) Anyway, It had old stock wires and champion plugs in it from previous owner and i put in NGK iridiums and Magnacore wires. I changed the plugs and wires and started it up and threw a CEL, i thought it was a missfire since it sputtered a bit before it fully started and checked all the wires, they were in good...then i checked the code and it is a 10 for IAT sensor. what could be causing this? any ideas on what to check or how to fix it? I did a search and what i found said, clean it off an reset the ECU. I did that and still get the code, i tried resetting the ECU 3 times and no luck, it hesitates a tiny bit on start and fires up and idles fine then throws the code within seconds. what can i try doing next?

OK when you guys have problems and then fix them, PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT WAS WRONG AND HOW YOU FIXED IT so that people like yourself in the future can find the answer by searching.

 

well, lets start from square one with this car...i bought my teg ('98 GS with SIR-G b18C and much more) from a friend of a friend who is a H-T member and he had bought the car from another H-T member who will remain nameless i'll call him GUY A. This friend of a friend was a very good guy and hooked me up bigtime with all the info on the car and tons of extra parts...real nice guy, very helful and honest! Anyway, the origional person who did the swap into the car (GUY A) did one shitty job with the wires. the day i got the car i rewired a bunch of it and made it all neat in wireloom. His work was a mess, wires everywhere, no wireloom, just real shitty work that was a sin. So after this, everything was fine. I put a new intake on the car today along with the above mentioned plugs and wires and went to start it and BAM CEL 10...WTF??? so i clean the sensor, no dice, still have a cel...then i remembered that was one wire i never cleaned up since it didn't look too bad and was covered in tape. so i undid all the tape over the sensor wires to find one of the wires was loose due to a crappy crimping job. well, needless to say i redid that wiring and made it all neat and reset the ecu and perfect, no more CEL! this guy who built this car should be hung out back, some of the stuff is soooo crappy it's unreal, he shouldn't be alowed to sit in a car let alone work on one. I have rewired so much of this car from the alarm to under the hood it's scary...next is the get the JDM fog switch to work properly and the city lights to work as running lights like they should be....as of now they are hooked up to to random switches...which i rewired. I got a good deal IMO on the car for the TONS of mods it has and i am very good with honda's so i knew what i was getting into and i will make this car perfect by time i'm done with it!...although, it's not too shabby now with my fixing, it makes one hell of a daily driver! anyway, you didn't need to know all that but i just wanted to rant on GUY A's shitty work!

UMMM i got no help with this...see all those replies helping me??? my "thanks guys" was a bit sarcastic/joking, i fixed it on my own...normally i post how i fix things but got no help and wasn't feelin' the love so i didn't bother since it seemed no one cared. i didn't think anyone would need to know how i fixed it...
but it is now explained above.
