Help me get ride of this d16y8 and move in a B18C
I'm working on getting my engine swap ready. I plan on putting in a JDM B18C but i need to sell my D series stuff. I don't know if i should break down the engine or sell it as a whole. The engine has 110xxx miles on it. I have a aem short ram intake, dc 4-1 ceramic header, the engine has a new timing belt, waterpump, drive belts, accel spark plug wires, valveadjustment, and a new dist cap/rotor. I hope to get 900 give or take. Can anyone help me out? Also how would you ship an engine?
You ship those things freight and packed/strapped on a crate that you find behind a local supermarket
900 seems a little high to me. Personally I wouldn't buy at any higher than 750.

id say 750 is about all you will get even with the header on this site.
try to sell it local if you can. find some poor soul with a 92-95 cx or vx with stock motor and sell it to them.

Then $150-200 for the header and $100 for the intake.

150-200 for the header yes.
about 75 for the intake. Short rams can be bought new for 85shipped.

OT
Ebay intakes suck.
If your intake doesn't come with the ability to mount to something and it just bounces around, then it is just a cheap as copy that doesn't put down the power it could if you spent just a little more.
The most important things that effect the engine are the intake and exhaust.
Example:
HT member has a Cam and intake but no exhaust = 116whp TUNED
HT member has Intake header and exhaust = 120whp UNTUNED.
Follow the basic steps and do it right....if it takes you one more month of saving, do it right.
