3" dp flange on t3/t04e
has anyone welded a 3" dp righ to the dischage flange on a t3/t04e? is that flange wide enough? might be a dumb question but just wondering before i order my discharge flange
im just not sure if that flange is too small, will i have to weld on a 2" or 2.5" pipe first then flare it out to 3" or is the flange wide enough to just wled on the 3" pipe?

Wont fit..
I used one of these 2.5-3" machined transitions from atpturbo.com:

I had to use allen bolts to secure the flange to the turbo though,
since there is 0 room for a wrench/socket after you weld the transition on.
Works perfect though, and looks great. (I have a 4bolt turbo).

Yep. But you pretty much have to use allen bolts to attach the flange to
the turbo. No big deal, since you can pick them up at the hardware store for cheap.
My setup is actually:
4bolt flange -> 2.5-3" transition -> v-band setup

I didn't order that one, but I have a 2.5" transition to 3" on mine to. It's a 1.5" transition, I believe from Burns Stainless... Works GREAT for room for the bolts.
Allen headed bolts sound like a great idea, too... I think I might pick some up when I go to Lowe's!

Any ideas where to get the Five bolt flange with a 2.75" or bigger hole in it? I got the one from atp and the whole is tiny.. I had to spend all sorts of time porting the thing just to make it close to the turbo outlet. For example I have the transition from ATP.. the transistion fits inside the turbine of my sc61. And the flange they sell with the transition needs about an 1/8" cut off each side just to line up right.
Double121 modified his revhard downpipe, to 3" with a/c, he bought a welder and hacked away. The drop/turn is real sharp though in order to clear ac compressor.
I just have a 2.5 that flares to 3"
