ANYONE HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH THEIR CF HOOD
sup everybody.. over the past few months my carbon fiber hood started to develop white residue/oxidation on it..i've tried everything to take it off but it just doesn't work...the surface is not scratched so i dont know how this happened..anyone else have this problem and if so, what did you do to resolve it???...thanks everybody
Hazing. Alot of cf hoods do that over time. Some take them to a body shop to have them sanded and reshot with clear, others just paint them to match the body.

I have the same problem with my vis hood. I thought they were uv protected or whatever. Anways I think it's just something that happens with time ( 2 years). I'm not sure what to do now, I don't know if I will paint it, I don't want to buy another hood.
Its a sign of poor quality hoods.
Many say you can prevent it with constant waxing or what-not.
It's carbon fiber smearing below the clear coat surfaces.
Sorry, but theres little that you can do.
VIS are nice hoods, good fitment and decent price. But its a fact that their quality ain't great.
As of this moment Im having a good time with my new hood; JDMshit.com

Some older CF hoods don't react well to waxing. When VIS first started making them, they would cloud up. You should polish the hell out of it then have it resprayed with a clear coat/UV protection. Or just get another one. VIS has good one's now. Mine has been perfect for a year and a half now.
