450CC INJECTORS. Problems starting car.
Just put some 450cc dsm on my sohc and safc and a 255 fuel pump(intank). I have the fuel way down at idle. Its at -41 but the car doesnt fire up like it use to. It turns over 10 to 15 times before starting. Once its started it runs great. What would cause this? The only thing i can think of is my fuel pressure. Im running the 255 pump with a stock fuel regulator. Possibly the 255 raised up the fuel pressure to a point where the car doesnt want to start easily. Maybe i need a adjustable and turn the pressure back down to about 38. What do you guys think? I cant think of anything else that might cause this. Oh yeah. if i shut the car off after driving it and get back in within 10 minutes or so, it starts right up. Just doesnt like cold starts.
mine did the same thing..its getting flooded in the morn on the prim..I have a fuel cut off switch which I keep off until after the prime..then turn it on turn the key..and boom two turns and it starts right up..pretty common with the 450s really.
I have a b18 so I don't know if it's any different, but basically same setup, intakn, hack and 450's and my car actually starts fatser now then it did before.
same for me, i have talon 450 injector on my b18b, and its starts liek **** but only when hot, when cold it starts up great, i though maybe this was caused by my retarded timming, i m not running hondata or anything, my fuel control is made by apexi VAFC, so the timming was retarded manually, woundered maybe thats my problem

I run 450 DSM's and my car starts and idles perfect... hot , cold... whenever. But I used Crome to make a chip. It seems to be a common prob with the AFC hack.
