anybody ever add an oil an oil additive with a turbo kit? something like engine restorer or something like that? or what about that Marvel mystery oil stuff that comes in a red bottle?

 

lol marvel mystery oil... I pour it in everytime my car is being funky. What it does really is a mystery!

 

i'm not questioning if the products work, i'm asking if its alright to add an oil additive.

 

My old gsr used to smoke alot at idle, I added some Rislone, smoking went away.

Yes my car smoked bad, it was a b20 vtec motor, revhard 2c, Rislone, it a ring sealer. Its pretty cheap and can get it at most autoparts stores.

 

not to hyjack the thread, but has anybody use and/or recommend lucas oil products?

the other thing that your taking about seems to be an additive to restore lost compression through the rings? more info if you guys have it

 

so no oil additive will mess up the turbo, correct?

 

ive used a few lucas products inluding the injector cleaner......... didnt think i would notic a difference but i did after a tank of gas went thru........

sometimes i add a bit of lucas oil additive to an oil change to quiet up the valvetrain noise..... works well
